For biodiesel of 1^st generation new acid – base La₂O₃/ ZrO₂ catalysts are developed for simultaneous esterification and transesterification of unpurified fats For biodiesel of 2^nd generation Pd doped silica-alumina are studied for conversion of free fatty acids to produce in a single step fuel similar to conventional diesel.
