The kinetics of a series of Pt and PtMe (where Me = Mo, Co, Fe) catalysts for aqueous phase reforming and water-gas shift reactions were combined with structural information from x-ray absorption spectroscopy to gain insight into the difference in promotional effects of different secondary metals.
