Zirconia-supported Catalysts for the Methanation of Carbon Dioxide

The results show that methanation activity increases in the order Co<Ni<<Rh. The activity of Ni/ZrO₂ catalysts changes with the crystalline phase of the support. The higher activity when monoclinic ZrO₂ is used as support, suggests differences in adsorption capacity and the presence of different sites on the catalytic surface.
