Model Catalyst Approach for the Study of Phase Evolution in Bimetallic Nanoparticles: PdZn/SiO2

Spin coating was used on a flat model substrate to create uniform PdZn nanoparticles below 10 nm in size at a controlled Pd/Zn ratio. The goal of this study was to monitor the transformation from a mixed Pd-Zn oxide to an intermetallic alloy.
