Towards a Fundamental Understanding of the Catalytic Behavior of Pure and Mixed Cerias

Our work provides insight into the role of ceria and doped ceria in improving fuel cell performance, and challenges the established belief that “smaller is better,” providing a better understanding of how the size of ceria nanoparticles affects peroxide and free radical generation.
