The solid Lewis acid, Sn-zeolite β, is a highly promising catalyst for sustainable chemical transformations. However, industrial exploitation is currently hampered by the unfavourable synthesis procedure. Herein, we demonstrate an alternative post-synthetic preparation procedure, which rapidly produces a catalyst with more favourable physical and catalytic properties.
