Controlling Selectivity in Heterogeneous Catalysis with Organic Monolayers

Conventional supported metal catalysts such as Pd/alumina have been modified with organic monolayers to control chemoselectivity.  By tailoring the functional groups within these well-organized monolayers, it is possible to control selectivity during several reactions of complex molecules.
