Synthesis and Catalytic Consequences of Metal and Oxide Clusters Encapsulated within Zeolites

We report general synthesis strategies for the encapsulation of noble metals and their oxides within small-pore and medium-pore zeolites via either direct hydrothermal synthesis using ligand-stabilized metal precursors or inter-zeolite transformation via local recrystallization of precursor zeolites and catalytic consequences of confinement.
