O-Th-BRB-5 Tungsten Oxide Supported Cage-type Mesoporous Silicate: W-KIT-5

Tungsten-incorporated cage-like cubic three-dimensional mesoporous silicate, KIT-5, was successfully synthesized by direct hydrothermal synthesis procedure. Depending on the loading, tungsten exists in the KIT-5 framework as well as in the extraframework position by complementary analytical techniques. W-KIT-5 shows ethylene epoxidation activity with hydrogen peroxide without formation of CO2.
