We prepared well controlled Pt nanoparticles with different sizes and shapes, which have different ratios of surface sites and varied in the orientations of the surfaces such as {211}, {111}, and {100}. Combining DFT simulation, effects of surface facets of Pt nanoparticles on kinetics of propane dehydrogenation have been investigated.
