O-M-BRB-6 Single Atom Alloy Pd-Ag Catalysts for Acrolein Hydrogenation

The selectivity and activity Ag catalysts for the selective hydrogenation of acrolein were improved by the addition of dilute amounts of Pd. Isolated Pd atoms likely lower the barrier for H2 dissociation and may also allow for preferential adsorption of acrolein in a favorable configuration for selective C=O hydrogenation.
