Propylene can be used to reduce NOx over Cu-chabazite SCR catalysts under lean/rich cycling conditions involving NH3 as an intermediate reductant. Understanding the roles of C3H6 in generating NH3 in situ and inhibiting NH3 utilization can facilitate the development of optimized coupled LNT-SCR catalysts and operational strategies.
