Synthesizing and Characterizing Catalysts Using Gold Nanoparticles as the Support Material

Using colloidal gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) as a catalyst support for a second metal (to create metal-on-Au NPs) reveals structure-property relationships not seen before. This study details the synthesis and characterization of Pd-on-Au NPs studied for a biomass conversion reaction and a water decomtamination reaction.
