O-Th-BRA-5 Highly Selective Niobia-supported Cobalt Catalysts for Fischer Tropsch Synthesis

Niobia-supported cobalt catalysts were synthesized using various routes and the catalyst performance in Fischer Tropsch synthesis was tested and compared to alumina-supported catalysts. Niobia-supported catalysts showed superior selectivity towards liquid hydrocarbons and can be operated at higher temperatures and correspondingly higher activity, while preserving these high selectivities.
