Higher Alcohols Synthesis from Syngas over Three-dimensionally Ordered Macroporous Cu-Fe Bimetallic Catalyst

Three-dimensionally ordered macroporous Cu-Fe  catalysts were prepared for higher alcohols synthesis from syngas with high yield and high C₂⁺OH selectivity. Cu⁰ species is the active site for alcohols synthesis.χ-Fe₅C₂ is the active site for hydrocarbon synthesis.  Cu⁰ and χ-Fe₅C₂ have synergetic effect for higher alcohols synthesis.
