Novel Zr and S XANES Analysis of S-ZrO2/MWCNT Acid Catalyst

In S-ZrO₂ system, S K-edge is bracketed by Zr L-edges, which complicates S-XANES analysis. We report novel spectroscopic analysis of S-ZrO₂/MWCNT with the assistance of Zr- and S-XANES, in combination with conventional S-XANES and third-derivative analysis. To our knowledge, this is the first attempt to characterize S-ZrO₂ catalyst system using multiple-edge XANES.
