P-Tu-BRC-96 Beyond Pt: Investigation of Ni Based Catalysts for Hydrothermal HDO

The HDO of o-cresol in supercritical water over Pt/C, Ni/SiO2Al2O3, Raney Ni 2800®, and Raney NiCu catalysts will be discussed. Doping Raney Ni 2800® with 10 wt.% Cu was found to significantly increase the yield of liquid phase deoxygenated products, while reducing cracking.
