We examined the effect of particle size of tungsten on the transformation of cellulose into polyols over Ni/W/SiO₂with different pore diameters. The particle size of tungsten metal can be controlled by changing the pore diameter of SiO₂. The ethylene glycol selectivity increased with decreasing particle size of tungsten metal.
