P-M-Wil-8 Direct Conversion of Cellulose into Polyols over Ni/W/SiO2

We examined the effect of particle size of tungsten on the transformation of cellulose into polyols over Ni/W/SiO­2 with different pore diameters. The particle size of tungsten metal can be controlled by changing the pore diameter of SiO2. The ethylene glycol selectivity increased with decreasing particle size of tungsten metal.
