O-Tu-Fre-7 Kinetics and Mechanism of Acetic Acid Ketonization on Ru/TiO2

Ru/TiO2/C is a promising catalyst for ketonization of small acids from bio-oil both in the vapor and aqueous phases.  Ketonization stabilizes the bio-oil and produces important building blocks. In this contribution we have conducted detailed catalytic measurements to determine the kinetics expression and discuss the mechanism of this important reaction.
