O-Th-Fre-8 Tandem Hydroformylation-Hydrogenation of Propene to Butanol Using Supported Catalysts

We demonstrate that a gas phase tandem process for the facile production of butanol is achieved using a phophine-modified Rh supported ionic liquid phase (SILP) catalyst for propene hydroformylation and silica-supported Shvo’s catalyst for butanal hydrogenation.
