Biomass to Platform Chemicals: Insights from Quantum Chemical Studies

In order to address the design of improved catalysts for biomass catalysis, molecular level insights to dehydration/rehydration, ethanolysis, catalytic liquid phase hydrogenation, Lewis acid catalyzed isomerization and retro aldol reactions are presented from high level abinitio studies.
