Partial Oxidation of Methane and Ethanol on Rh/Al2O3 Coated Monoliths Studied by an In-Situ Probe Technique

The catalytic partial oxidation (CPOX) of ethanol and methane was investigated. The in-situ sampling technique yields axially resolved profiles of concentration and temperature inside single channels of a monolith, leading to new insights. CFD simulations were applied to evaluate the backlash of the probe, which helps to avoid misinterpretation.
