Solution ion exchange (IE) and solid state ion exchange (SSIE) were used to synthesize Cu-SAPO-34 catalysts using SAPO-34 substrates generated with various structure directing agents. Standard selective catalytic reduction (SCR), coupled with various characterization methods allow for the elucidation of the key factors in generating highly active and selective catalysts.
