Catalytic Fast Pyrolysis of Β-O-4 Type Lignin Model Compounds: Effects of Temperature and Zeolite Catalysts

With a fundamental understanding of the mechanism for catalytic fast pyrolysis of simple lignin model compounds with β-O-4 linkages, these principles can be applied to more complex lignin structures.  This allows for the design of catalysts to effectively upgrade lignin to value added products while minimizing undesired reactions and products.
