Deactivation of the metal catalyst due to sintering is a problem when operating at high temperatures. We have developed methods to deposit Pd@ceria core-shell particles onto a chemically modified electrode. We demonstrate that the particles can be deposited uniformly and exhibit excellent thermal stability to temperatures as high as 1100°C.
