O-Tu-BRB-11 Synthesis of a Honeycomb-Type Carbon-Based Acid Catalyst for Flow Reaction Systems

A carbon-based acid catalyst with a honeycomb structure was prepared for flow reaction systems. The catalyst exhibits low pressure drops for a liquid flow and a stable catalytic activity in the liquid-phase esterification of acetic acid with ethanol at 333 K for the number of turnovers of at least 1400.
