The stability of amine sorbent, polyethyleneimine (PEI)/SiO2, for post-combustion CO2 capture from coal-fired power plants under steam and oxygen was investigated. Steam regeneration of PEI/SiO2 was found to decrease CO2 loading due to re-agglomeration of the amines on the support.  Exposing the sorbent to air at 100°C altered the sorbent.
