Chiral Gold and Silver Nanoclusters as Sustainable Asymmetric Catalysts

We succeeded in preparing and characterizing some size selected gold and silver clusters protected by different chiral and achiral ligands. These clusters are observed in highly catalytic activity in oxidation of styrene to an aldehyde and epoxide, and 100 % chemoselectivity of hydrogenation of α,β–unsaturated ketones and aldehydes.
