	Ontario Exhibit Hall (Detroit Marriott Hotel at the Renaissance Center )
	
	
	
	
		Dehydration reaction of glucose and fructose and oidation of these reagents with hydrogen peroxide was studied as a model reaction. The products of the reactions were studied using nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and HPLC. Early experiments produced the expected sugar derivatives.
