Abstract: Nanotube Oxides Supported Nanoscale Gold Photoanodes for Photoelectrochemical Hydrogen Production (22nd North American Catalysis Society Meeting)

Oxide nanotube (TiO₂ and Fe₂O₃) supported gold photocatalysts were prepared. The addition of the gold resulted in a significant improvement in the electrocatalytic and optical properties of these materials, which enhanced hydrogen production rates. The active site location for water oxidation appears to depend on the particle size.
