Metallic open-pore foams are attractive as structured catalyst supports because of their high geometric surface areas, high void-fractions, high gas/solid heat- and mass-transfer rates and enhanced heat transfer properties. The purpose of this work is to characterize the heat exchange properties of foams with different geometries and fabrication materials.
