Ontario Exhibit Hall (Detroit Marriott Hotel at the Renaissance Center )
Model BaO based planar NOx storage systems were prepared on an atomically flat Pt(111) single crystal surface under ultra high vacuum (UHV) conditions by thermal evaporation of Ba followed by subsequent oxidation. The possible mechanism of nitrate formation and decomposition for different BaO film thicknesses is discussed.
