Methycyclopentane hydrogenolysis was studied on highly dispersed Ir/TiO2 catalysts prepared by DPU method. Selectivity for ring opening was studied as a function of the reduction temperature. At SMSI state, iridium seems to shift to a partially non selective mechanism for ring opening (n-Hex/3MP=1.2).
