P-Tu-78 Selective Hydrogenation of Cinnamaldehyde over Pt/CNT in Carbon Dioxide Expended Trifluoroethanol

The CO2-expanded trifluoroethanol was proved a highly effective medium for the selectively hydrogenation of α, β-unsaturated aldehyde. Over 95% selectivity to the C=O hydrogenated product was achieved over Pt/MWCNT under the conditions of 60 oC, 18 MPa, and reaction time of 3 – 6 h.
