Ontario Exhibit Hall (Detroit Marriott Hotel at the Renaissance Center )
A new polymer brush supported sulfonic acid catalyst with high acid loading was prepared. To achieve better catalytic stability, a new surface initiator was synthesized and used for preparation of the material. The catalyst was tested in ester hydrolysis to investigate the catalytic performance in the presence of excess water.
