P-Mo-37 Synthesis, characterization and catalytic performance evaluation of different pore diameter SBA-15-supported FeW catalysts for heavy gas oil hydrotreament

Hydrotreating studies of four mesoporous FeW/SBA-15 catalysts with different pore diameters at industrial conditions showed superior activity for catalyst with pore diameter ~10 nm and the least activity displayed by catalyst with largest pore diameter (~18.5 nm) due to easy accessibility and subsequent decomposition of bulky asphaltene molecules within pores.
