OC15 Role of Fe and Au in a ternary alloy, Au-Pd3Fe(111), as an electrocatalyst for the oxygen reduction reaction

Excellent ORR performance was found for Pd3Fe(111) crystal. A strong correlation of this performance to the presence of surface Fe is established.   By controlling the coverage of Au, the high activity of Pd3Fe(111) can be maintained and the stability of the catalyst improved significantly.
