This study presents that the Ti chelate route and larger pore size of Ti-SBA-15 are beneficial for the accessibility of large organic sulfurs to the active catalytic sites in liquid phase. The present results provide new insights into the design of efficient titanium/silica ODS catalysts with increased activity and lifetime.
