Coprecipitated Ni-Fe-alumina catalysts are active and stable for methane decomposition to produce COx-free hydrogen and nanocarbon materials. Modification of the catalyst with doping iron increases the carbon diffusion rate thus enhances the activity and stability of the catalyst at high temperatures.
