For Pt, hydrogen production occurs using the direct partial oxidation route at the lowest contact times. For Ni, hydrogen production occurs at higher contact times, after total oxidation occurs initially. For higher surface areas of ceria support, the influence of water-gas shift is greater than for lower surface areas.
