The effect of acidic promoters on the titania nanotubes supported V2O5 catalysts was investigated, and the sulfate was found to be an acidic promoter that enhanced the selectivity to dimethoxymethane at the high methanol conversions, while the phosphoric and phosphotungstic acids had the negative effect on the target reaction.
