Organosolv lignins were oxidatively depolymerized in acetic acid and formic acid/acetic acid mixtures. The products were characterized with HP-SEC (High Performance Size Exclusion Chromatography). A significant change in the molecular weight distribution was found as well as a significant effect of water.
