The unmodified ZSM-5 catalysts deactivated during the steam cracking of n-hexane at 923 K because of dealumination of the ZSM-5 zeolite.  The ZSM-5 catalyst modified by lanthanum and phosphorus showed high stability for the steam cracking of n-hexane.
