Excellent NOx storage properties were realized by adding KNO3 to Pt/K-titanate nanobelt. Maintaining nanobelt structure and optimizing the amount of KNO3 added are the key factors to obtaining extremely high NOx storage capacity. The segregation of K+ from and back to the nanobelt wall is NOx storage and reduction mechanism.
