OE9 TPA supported on SBA-15 as solid acid catalysts for the biodiesel production

TPA impregnated on SBA-15 shows higher catalytic activity compared to that of TPA co-condensed into the SBA-15 by sol-gel method. However, this catalyst suffers from poor reusability characteristics and the catalytic activity was reduced in presence of FFA (with a certain minima) and by-product water.
