P-Mo-145 Synthesis, Characterization and Catalysis of Single-site Embedded Titanium-Silicate Catalysts: Highly Selective in Oxidation of Alkylphenol to Benzoquinone with Hydrogen Peroxide

A synthetic methodology is described that allows one to target and prepare specific titanium active sites on the surface and in the framework of a silicate support.  The single-site heterogeneous titanium catalysts exhibit high catalytic activity and high selelctivity in alkylphenol oxidation to alkylbenzoquinone with aqueous hydrogen peroxide.
