The fabrication and characterization of bimetallic core-shell nanoparticles smaller less than 10 nm remain highly challenging. Moreover, there is a dearth of systematic studies reporting the use of colloidal Cu, Ni and Cu/Ni nanoparticles in the preparation of heterogeneous catalysts.
