Rh/SBA-15 and sulfur-promoted Rh/SBA-15 were found active and selective to produce health-beneficial CLAs in partially hydrogenated safflower oil for food applications.
This research is innovative because only few catalysts have been developed for efficient and selective isomerization/hydrogenation of edible oils with the focus on the production of health-beneficial CLA isomers.
