The intermetallic compound ZnPd is used as an unsupported catalyst in methanol steam reforming. XPS shows the influence of the reduction temperature on the surface, leading to different catalytic properties. ZnPd as an unsupported catalyst in methanol steam reforming is able to decrease the CO level down to 1,500 ppm.
