This study reports for the first time simultaneous in situ EXAFS and DRIFTS results on Ag/Al2O3 under propene-SCR and H2-propene-SCR reaction conditions. The active sites are 2-dimensional Agnδ+ clusters under both conditions, whereas a AgAlO2 phase is inactive. The role of H2 is to enhance the formation of reaction intermediates.
